WINBACK Equine 2 in 6
Treatment Course: 2 treatment sessions per week over 6 weeks
Service Description
WINBACK technologies offer a non-invasive treatment that uses electromagnetic energy to increase body temperatures and promote healing. It is a combination of contact diathermy and electrotherapy. WINBACK Tecar technology uses a high-frequency electric current that acts from inside the body, causing self repair and analgesic effects. Tecartherapy is a revolutionary technology that involves an innovative joint and muscle regeneration process which stimulates the natural mechanism of self-repair in the human body. The clinical evidence supporting Tecartherapy is based on the frequencies and their correlation with the permeabilization of cell membranes. This permeabilization encourages intra and extra cellular activity which accelerates the natural regeneration in the biological tissue. The low level of energy ensures it is non-invasive and 100% natural for the human body. WINBACK provides treatment for all types of equine musculoskeletal pathologies: - Acute sprain - Enthesopathies - Scars - Trigger points - Joint indications - Lumbosacralgia - Fibrosis - Treatment of chronic disease of the suspensory ligament of the fetlock - Acute and chronic tendinopathy WINBACK technology is used to stimulate the circulatory system, reduce pain and increase cellular exchange, to facilitate healing to occur under the best possible conditions. In post operative cases, the effects of tecartherapy on the circulatory system will drain any swelling or effusion, while reducing pain. Techartherapy is also used to: - Eliminate pain from the first session - Heal scars - Accelerate local revascularisation - Aid muscle relaxation - Free movement - Reduce stress - Release spasms and contractures - Promote muscle relaxation and joint flexibility - Faster recovery after intense exercise - Post-competition recovery The frequency of treatment is usually one to three sessions per week. Treatments can last from 5 to 60 minutes. Treatment time depends on several factors: whether it is acute or chronic; whether it is combined with other therapies; whether it is a localized or more general treatment, curative, preventive and maintenance treatment. We will determine the duration of treatment following a comprehensive veterinary physiotherapy consultation or veterinary diagnosis. Please choose a date for Session 1 at the point of making this booking. Subsequent sessions will be diarised with you by your therapist at the clinic.
